Somali  (2010)

One day I happened to hear that a former professor of Mogadishu, the author of a French-Somali dictionary, was a political refugee in Switzerland. I looked him up and asked him to do the translation. Then my friend Pierre Marcel Favre took care of publishing the book.

Late summer 2010, Pierre-Marcel and I flew to Hargeisa in Somaliland. It is an East African state which proclaimed its independence in 1991 but is still not yet internationally recognized as such. In our luggage we took 600 books of the Little Prince in Somali language which we presented to the Minister of National Education so that they could be used for teaching.
