Exhibition at Silpakorn University

On 27 January 2024, the library of Silpakorn University in Bangkok hosted the inauguration of the exhibition "The Little Prince's Planet". Conceived and masterfully organised by Little Prince enthusiast Supoj Lokunsombat, this magnificent exhibition was made possible thanks to the support of Prof. Nantapon Chankaew (the library's director) and our foundation.

We were honoured to have Princess Sirikitiya, the niece of the King of Thailand, actively present at the opening. Visitors were presented with a host of exceptional documents, including the original contract between publisher Reynal & Hitchcock and Saint Exupéry for the publication of The Little Prince, original editions signed by Saint Exupéry, editions autographed by his mother and younger sister, drawings of The Little Prince by Saint Exupéry, and more.

Visitors could see hundreds of translations and special books such as those in Braille. There was also the edition that belonged to Che Guevara, with a dedication to a friend of his revolutionary struggle.

Throughout the day, stalls were set up in the university gardens. It was here that presentations took place, and a reading of Chapter 26 by 30 readers in 30 different languages captivated the large audience.
